A Fantasy Novel Where Every Chapter Has Its Own Original Song

What if a fantasy novel wasn't just something you read, but something you heard, saw, and felt?

Beyond the Page: A Novel That Sings

Most novels tell their story through words alone. Wings of Fate tells its story through prose, original music, and hand-drawn anime animation, all directed by one creative vision.

Every chapter of Wings of Fate has:

  • A full chapter of dark fantasy prose
  • An original song composed specifically for that chapter's emotional arc
  • A hand-drawn anime animation that brings key scenes to life

This isn't a novel with a playlist slapped on top. The music is part of the narrative. The song for Chapter 1, "The Peace before the Storm," captures the exact feeling of Janus standing at the edge of a destiny he never asked for. You can read the chapter in silence, or you can read it while the music plays, and the experience transforms.

The Story

Wings of Fate follows Janus, a reluctant hero called to save a world called Etheria. It's a world of false shepherds, a currency called Destiny Points, and a divine figure called the Painter who has turned away from his own creation.

The villain isn't a Dark Lord. It's the King of Etheria, who believes he is justice. He punishes the guilty with absolute precision and zero mercy. The question isn't whether he's wrong. It's whether being right is enough when you've lost the ability to forgive.

10 chapters. Three English tracks ("Repentance," "The Peace before the Storm," and "The Forgotten Calling") plus a Japanese version of PBTS. 10+ original illustrations. One story that refuses to die quietly.

Part of a Larger Universe

Wings of Fate is the centerpiece, but StarlitTunes, the indie music project led by creative director Ethan Wu, has grown into something much bigger. The full catalog spans over 30 original tracks:

  • Chronicles of the Benevolent Ruler: a 10-track English concept album tracing a journey from childhood bliss through tragedy, growth, betrayal, divine intervention, and kingship
  • Starlit Winter: a 10-track English holiday album
  • Five Japanese-language singles: including "Deafening Silence," "Your Warmth," and "Crown of Thorns"
  • Standalone tracks: the worship single "Fire Flower" and the ballad "Pieces of a Dream"

Each release carries the same philosophy: music and story are inseparable.

Why Combine Music and Literature?

StarlitTunes was born from a creative director who also writes fiction, someone who realized that the feeling a song creates in 4 minutes and the world a novel builds over 200 pages are two halves of the same experience.

Music captures emotion instantly. Prose builds context and meaning. When they work together, the result is something neither medium can achieve alone: a story you feel in your chest before you finish processing it with your brain.

This is the same instinct behind anime openings, those 90-second songs that make you feel the entire emotional arc of a series before a single word of dialogue. Wings of Fate takes that concept and builds an entire novel around it.

The Animation Layer

Every Wings of Fate song also has a hand-drawn anime animation on YouTube. Animated by artist Harry Handdrawn, each video brings key scenes from the novel to life: the quiet before the storm, the burning of a city, the moment a hero decides whether mercy or justice will define him.

The Chapter 1 animation alone has been seen by over 2.7 million viewers. Each frame is hand-drawn. No AI, no shortcuts. Just art made by people who care about the story they're telling.
